Each year FMA’s market-leading publication, The FABRICATOR®, ranks some of the most successful U.S. metal fabricating companies. The FAB 40 list helps to provide an industry snapshot and reinforce how vital metal fabricating is to American manufacturing.
Mayville Engineering Company (MEC), a Wisconsin-based contract fabricator ranks No. 1 on The FABRICATOR’s FAB 40 and has done so for the past dozen years. One way this high-ranking fabricator stays on top is by reacting quickly to customers’ curveballs. Overall, metal fabricators who made the 2022 FAB 40 have had to juggle high demand with not much consistency, demonstrating resiliency to manage the chaos at scale — as The FABRICATOR’s Senior Editor Tim Heston explains in this article.
