On Oct. 2, 2024, Nuts, Bolts & Thingamajigs (NBT) held its annual Awards Gala at Victoria in the Park in Mount Prospect, Ill., presented by AMADA AMERICA, INC. The event celebrated individuals and organizations dedicated to advancing the manufacturing industry by recognizing Lisa Wertzbaugher of Wertzbaugher Consulting with the Power of Industry award, which is presented to an individual, family, or family foundation for its philanthropic efforts. Cincinnati Inc. received the Impact on Industry award, which is presented to a corporation or business that has created a culture of philanthropy within their organization. Northcentral Technical College was the winner of the Future of Industry award, which recognizes a school or organization that has created a successful and sustainable NBT Summer Manufacturing Camp program.
Attendees took part in a live and silent art auction featuring creations by manufacturing camp students raising $76,000 to support NBT’s mission of fostering a skilled manufacturing workforce.
Guests also enjoyed getting a first-hand look at the impact NBT has made over the last year, as well as celebrating the 2024 award winners, networking, and dancing.
