FMA has announced The FABRICATOR®’s 2021 Industry Award winner. Laystrom Manufacturing Co, a Chicago-based metal fabricator and FMA member, is being recognized for its company culture that demonstrates character, connection, contribution, and cultivation as its core values. The president of the company, Colin Cosgrove, attributes the core values to Laystrom’s 60% sales revenue growth in the past three years and 10% sales revenue growth over the past year.

Cosgrove knew that in order for Laystrom to stand out from competitors, it needed a uniqueness that demonstrated how the company conducts business based on its culture and core values. Cosgrove briefly parted ways with Laystrom after taking a sales manager position at a machine shop. He returned two years later with a new goal in mind. If he were to assume the role of vice president of operations and business development, uniqueness through business conduct and purpose needed to be the guiding principles under Cosgrove’s leadership.

Find out how Laystrom Manufacturing Co improved its internal “community” and achieved external success in The FABRICATOR’s February 2021 cover story by Editor-in-Chief Dan Davis.
