Cooling Systems Run on Waste Steam

GEA Wiegand offers steam jet cooling systems that require only water or aqueous solutions instead of the chemical cooling agents used in absorption cooling systems. They run on low-pressure steam, or waste steam, instead of electricity.

The systems cool water or aqueous solutions down to the formation of ice for capacity ranges from 10 kW to approximately 20,000 kW.

They are used to generate cold water for air-conditioning and for product-cooling in such industries as food, chemical, synthetic material, and pulp.
