By Kate Bachman | January 13, 2014
Category:Ford has announced it will add two new offerings to its EcoBoost® engine family in 2014, including a 2.3-l engine. In addition, its 1.0-l EcoBoost engine, offered in the Ford Fiesta®, goes on sale in North America for the first time in 2014.

The feature, currently available on Ford Fusion®, will spread to the manufacturer’s highest-volume products, covering 70 percent of the company’s North America volume and reflecting progress toward Ford’s Blueprint for Sustainability to increase fuel efficiency.
The company plans to add more than 400 new positions to its power train engineering team in 2014, including about 100 for new hybrid- and electrified-vehicle engineers.
