LED Lighting Troffer Conversion Kit Cuts Energy Costs

Precision-Paragon [P2] has introduced an LED conversion kit to convert linear, fluorescent troffer lighting to energy-efficient, longer-lasting LED lighting. The patent-pending TKD LED troffer conversion kit helps to maintain or improve light levels while delivering up to 101 lumens/W.

Fluorescent troffer lighting can be installed in offices, retail outlets, and other types of buildings. The kit allows building owners to work with qualified lighting professionals to upgrade their fluorescent lighting to LED, without the need to replace the entire fixture.

The kit fits in both parabolic and prismatic troffers and replaces the fluorescent fixture’s lamps, ballast, and socket bars with a prewired LED light engine, complete with a new lens and door assembly. The retrofit kit offers efficacy between 93 and 101 lumens/W and light output that the company says can match or exceed the fluorescent lighting it replaces. It is calculated for 70 percent lumen maintenance at 80,000 hours.
